Your Math Teacher

We have been using this program for math exclusively this year and love it!
We chose a textbook for each grade level that we needed (8 & 12) and easily found the corresponding lesson plan on this site. Both kids are thriving in their math courses and have enjoyed this straightforward approach to math.

YourTeacher is a leading digital publisher specializing in middle school, high school and college level math. The subscription website, MathHelp.com, together with our extensive line of math apps, have provided millions of students with math tutoring, standardized test prep, and homeschooling. YourTeacher is also revolutionizing the textbook industry with our patent-pending math iBooks textbooks for the flipped classroom.

Anatomy and Physiology tool: MEDtropolis

This is a webspace built for the latest health information that will educate and entertain kids and adults alike. Discover our other popular features such as Health Calculators, Kids Health(c), and the Breast Cancer Guide in addition to the Virtual Body.
This is truly an amazing website! I'm planning on using it this school year to help teach Anatomy.

Printable Chore Charts for Any Age

We needed a new approach to helping around the house this summer! I love this chart because I can customize it for each of our kids, ages 13 & 17.

The purpose of this chart is to create a clear chore schedule for your child. This is suitable if your child has multiple chores or tasks to be completed on a regular basis such as making his or her bed, clearing his or her own spot at the table, and so on.

Parent-Teen Driving Contract

The purpose of this website is to convince parents of the need to take teenage driving seriously and to take steps to reduce the risk of their children being in auto accidents.  Among these steps is a parent-teen driving agreement.  This website has one you can use and it's free. It's in wide use and has been written up or mentioned in several major news outlets.  It's free.

A Blog to Check Out!

Smart Apps for Kids

http://www.smartappsforkids.com/2013/03/ipad-mini-giveaway-enter-now.html#more

I have referred to this blog several times when searching for a particular teaching reinforcement for our home school. The reviews they offer are excellent. You can even subscribe or "like" them on Facebook to see daily reviews or free apps on your news feed that they come across. I also like their web site search features. They have streamlined searches to offer by age and subject.
Smart Apps strives for meticulousness and honesty in its reviews, both positive and negative. Their goal is to be the most complete source for parents and educators looking for reliable info on an app before making a purchase. Most kids apps review sites only publish positive reviews or reviews without any sort of rating, meaning that if an app isn't a good one, you won't find any info about it on the site.
